How it Works:
1. Break It Down
What makes us love a song and detest another? Learn how songs work and get the tools to craft them.
2. Find your Story
Everyone has a story to tell. We’ll help you explore ideas and get inspired.
3. Express What Matters
Your story, your voice, your song. Create music that’s unique and meaningful to you.

About your Producers
Lucy & Spencer
As performers, Lucy & Spencer are Eugene Marie, an electropop duo who released their debut EP in July 2017. As music educators, they produce songwriting workshops and teach privately across the country. As creators, Spencer produces music and Lucy designs websites. While living in Brooklyn, Spencer spent a month as a subject in an art installation, Lucy helped produce a music festival, and they both have done their fair share of performing music for toddlers. They’ll be moving to Los Angeles to continue performing, creating, and teaching.
Lucy Horton graduated from the University of Washington with a degree in Music Education & Choral Emphasis in 2014.
Spencer Stewart graduated from Berklee College of Music with a dual-degree in Bass Performance and Film Scoring in 2013.
Guest Artist and Educator
We’re excited & honored to have singer-songwriter and music educator Emily Persha join our workshop team. Emily’s varied teaching experience has led her from teaching general music an elementary school to establishing a private studio for piano, voice, and songwriting lessons. As a creator, Emily is currently releasing new original music and performing in the Seattle music scene.
Emily Persha graduated from the University of Washington with a degree in Music Education & Choral Emphasis in 2015.
